History brought to life in the Nelson Room

Pupils from North Walsham Junior School visited the Nelson Room at Paston Sixth Form College. All of the pupils experienced some real hands on history when studying Nelson. Pupils spent time studying letters, paintings and a range of artifacts linked to Nelson. Their enthusiasm for the exercise was encouraged by the chance to win a Paston Bear. The three winners Teejay Baylis, Josie Fryer and Harvey Haysman, all collected the most information from the investigation of all the items in the historic Nelson Room.

Kevin Grieve, Principal at Paston, said “the pupils had a wonderful afternoon examining the historical documents associated with Nelson. It was brilliant to see their enthusiasm to learn and gain knowledge about Nelson. They produced some outstanding work and are a credit to their school”.
