On 2nd Dec 44 students from Art, Photography, Graphic Communication, Textiles, Btec Art and Design visited London to explore a wide variety of creative inspiration. Starting at the annual London Illustration Fair at the Oxo Tower, students were able to participate in traditional Letterpress and Cyanotype workshops as well as viewing contemporary design by artists showing at the venue. From there a short walk to the new Tate Modern galleries, where students saw an expanded collection at the gallery with opportunity to photograph London from the high viewing gallery. Splitting in to two separate groups art students, then walked on to the White Cube gallery to see a vast installation piece by German contemporary artist Anselm Kiefer, whilste photography students walked over the Thames to visit internationally renowned English photographer Martin Parr’s studio and be introduced to his work by Paston alumni Louis Little who has worked fro Martin Parr as an assistant for over four years.
