Wildlife Film Success Talented Paston Sixth Form College teacher Matt Stainthorpe has won a Country Living Magazine film competition. The prize is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work in the field with TV naturalist and presenter Simon King. Matt’s two minute short film, won the overall open film category in the competition based on the theme of a wildlife encounter. Matt’s film showed a range of habitats and wildlife in the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland and included footage of the elusive Pine Marten. Matt will work with Simon King filming and photographing wildlife at Shapwick Heath in Somerset. He has been a teacher at Paston for 6 years, working with students in the Media department. Matt is an inspirational teacher who uses his knowledge and experience to support students with their practical film making and photography.

Matt said “it is an amazing opportunity to meet and work with Simon King and learn from one of the world’s top wildlife photographers”.
