BTEC Extended Diplomas
BTEC Extended Diplomas are the most popular vocational Further Education qualification in the UK and are recognised and respected worldwide. The BTEC Extended Diplomas, which are equivalent to 3 A-levels, have been around for 25 years and are highly valued by universities, employers and professional bodies across the UK and in over 100 countries worldwide.
With a BTEC Extended Diploma qualification you could gain a place on a degree course at a University (they give you university entry points in just the same way as A-levels and because the results come out before A-levels results BTEC students are often able to confirm their University places before A-level students).
Or with a BTEC Extended Diploma you could choose to start your career. (Employers value BTECs because they prove that you are prepared for the world of work, are committed to your chosen career and have theoretical and practical skills which can be put into practice straight away).

To do a BTEC Extended Diploma at Paston you will need:
At least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including one from Maths, English Language and Science
OR a merit/distinction in a BTEC First in a related area, plus grade C or above in GCSE English Language.
