A Level

A - E 98.4% (98%) Higher Grades (A - C) 75% (72%)

21 subjects achieved 100% A - E pass rate

16 subjects better than 70% A - C grades

56 Norfolk Scholars (51) - outstanding individual achievement of ABB or better

Over the last five years Paston's A level performance is "excellent" according to the national ALPS survey it is in the top 25% of Schools and Colleges nationally.

In the 2009 Government CVA Performance Tables Paston College was third overall of all types of sixth form (independent and state schools) and colleges (sixth form colleges and FE colleges) in Norfolk.

 

AS Level

A - E 87% (89) Higher Grades (A - C) 56%

11 subjects achieved 100% A - E pass rate and a further 7 over 90%

14 subjects better than 60% A - C (14)

Over the last five years Paston's AS performance is "outstanding" according to national ALPS survey it is in the top 10% of Schools and Colleges nationally.

 

BTEC National

100% (94%) pass rate with 86% (69%) distinction/merit

 

Vocational Courses (Level 2): equivalent to 4 A*- C GCSEs

BTEC First 100% pass rate (91%)

GCSE resits

Paston only offers resits in GCSE English, Maths and Science for students who did not achieved a higher grade pass in Year 11

51% higher grade passes (A* - C)

1 ALPS

The ALPS survey draws from a huge national database of 90 Sixth Form Colleges and c 900 schools. ALPS assesses the performance of students at AS and A based on their GCSE results. At Paston students achieve much better A and AS grades than nationally would be predicted from their GCSE results.
