• Sport as a business.
• Lead sports activities in local schools and gain additional coaching qualifications.
• Assess a variety of injuries and design rehabilitation programmes.
• Create dietary plans for a variety of clients and look at the benefits of a healthy diet.
• Complete a variety of fitness tests and create a training programme to improve different aspects of fitness for clients of varying ages and abilities.
• Look at anxiety and stress, how they affect performance and plan a programme of psychological skills training for a client.
• Assess your own ability and improve your skills.
• Techniques and tactics you use in a variety of sports.
Your course tutors will assess you in a range of written and practical projects as well as oral presentations. There are no written examinations on this course.
• Go on to university Paston students have gone on to study a variety of courses including Sports Science, Leisure Management, Education – to train as a teacher.

Either
• A minimum of four GCSEs at grade A*-C, including English/English Language and Mathematics or a Science, and preferably PE.
Or
• A merit/distinction in a Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Sport or PE plus grade C or above in GCSE English/English Language.
