BTEC Level 2 Diplomas
Are you looking for a course equivalent to four higher grade GCSE passes at A*–C which prepares you either for direct entry to a career or onto a higher level vocational course? If so Paston offers you a choice of courses leading to a BTEC Level 2 Diploma.
These are practical, work-related courses taught and assessed through projects and assignments based on real work situations. All courses last one year.
BTEC First Diplomas are awarded at Distinction, Merit or Pass grade.
You can also study a GCSE subject, along side these courses, to improve your key skills and take part in the Paston Enrichment activities programme including team sports, fitness, music (bands) or theatre.
Entry requirements
At least 3 GCSE passes at grade D including either English Language or Maths or a Distinction or Merit in a BTEC Introductory level 1 vocational qualification.
Successful completion of these courses will enable you to progress to higher level courses, such as BTEC National Diplomas, or to go directly into employment or training.
You could be eligible to be paid whilst studying for these courses at College through the EMA scheme.
