Summary

Students work towards the University of the Arts London (UAL) Level 2 Creative Media Production and Technology Diploma during one year of study. This course offers an exciting and ideal starting point if you want to pursue a career in the media. It will give you all the skills you need to progress onto the Level 3 course in Media Production and beyond. The course will focus on both practical and theory aspects of media. The course offers the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential to be successful in the creative media industry. The course is made up of 8 units, all of which must be studied and passed.

In addition to your main programme you will also study Maths and English. Depending on your grades on entry you will either study Functional Skills or GCSE. Please check our English and Maths page for further information.

Entry Requirements

Minimum four GCSEs grades 4/C. This programme is designed for students who just miss our entry requirements for Level 3 study. It includes an opportunity to improve your GCSE English Language and Maths grades.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a variety of practical and theoretical tasks. The course is made up of 8 units, all of which must be studied and passed.

Progression

Successful completion the Level 2 Diploma will provide direct entry onto the Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media.

Fees

If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over please contact the Advice Shop. There will be a levy fee to cover the cost of external field trips and associated materials, which is payable at enrolment.
