4 GCSE's at grade D/3 including English and Maths or a BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Health and Social Care or other suitable foundation course passed at Merit level. A successful completion of Disclosure Baring Service (DBS) check.
Good English and Maths skills are essential for many jobs and courses you will progress on to. The Government has made it priority for students to develop these skills and your course programme will reflect this key aim. Depending on your grades when you start this course you could either study Functional Skills or GCSEs alongside the other parts of your programme of study.
This course will introduce you to the health and social care field. This programme provides the underpinning knowledge required to progress on to further study within the Health Care sector such as Level 3 Diploma Health and Social Care and Level 3 Certificate Health and Social Care (Adults)
Throughout the course, you will learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.
After successful completion of the course you may progress to a higher level qualification at College such as a level 3 qualification.
After the course you could seek care-related work.
