What You Will Study

Sport and exercise scientists help athletes and sports professionals improve their performance and general health. They use scientific knowledge on how the human body works, moves and how people think about physical activity to help people get better at what they do.

This qualification will give you a good understanding and knowledge of the sports and active leisure sector as well as developing the essential skills required for employment or progression to further qualifications and training. You will cover four modules including anatomy, sports psychology, coaching and physical activity. You will benefit from guest speakers and visiting employers who will share their knowledge of the industry.

Paston College has excellent facilities to deliver high-quality theory lessons, fitness and sports sessions and prides itself on its links with the wider community, utilising facilities at schools, leisure clubs, gyms and at our sister site at Easton College.
