What You Will Study
This exciting and hands-on course introduces you to the world of digital media production.
You’ll explore key areas such as video editing, audio production, graphic design, and interactive media. Through practical projects, you’ll learn how to plan, produce, and evaluate digital content using industry-standard software and equipment.

Entry Requirements
- Four GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including GCSE English language and maths.
How You Will Be Assessed
Assessment is entirely coursework-based, allowing you to build a portfolio of creative work throughout the year.
You’ll complete a range of practical assignments including media products, written reflections, and project evaluations. These are internally assessed and externally verified, ensuring your work meets national standards. There are no formal exams, making this an ideal course for learners who thrive in a practical, project-led environment.
Course Progression
Upon successful completion, you could progress to a Level 3 qualification such as the BTEC Creative Media Production or related courses in Film, TV, Games Design, or Graphic Communication. The skills and portfolio you develop will also support applications for apprenticeships or entry-level roles in the creative industries.

Fees
If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over fees may be payable.
