Corrienne Peasgood OBE, Principal of City College NorwichA message from the Principal:

‘We know that recent weeks and months have been really difficult for our students and their parents. For many, recent changes to the way in which A Levels have been assessed have added to the stress levels. But the team at Paston College are ready to help in any way we can to make sure you get to the next steps in your studies or you career. We’ll help you navigate the process and if you haven’t achieved what you had hoped, we’ll work with you to find the right way forward. You have worked hard to get to where you are, and together we’ll make sure you get to the next stage of your journey.’  Corrienne Peasgood OBE, Principal, Paston College

From 8am on Thursday 13 August 2020 Paston College will be distributing A Level and other Level 3 qualification results to your student email accounts. Please note that your results will not be available at College and the campus is currently closed to students because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

If you have not used your college email account for a while, it is advisable to log on as soon as possible just to make sure that you can still access it. If you experience any problems, please contact servicedesk@nes.org.uk

We know that there is uncertainty over some aspects of your qualifications this summer and we’re working hard to make sure that you know what to do next.

Many of you will receive the grades you were expecting which means you can progress to university as you had planned. If you have not got the grades you were hoping for, you may still be able to progress as you had planned. Find out more here about the next steps with UCAS.

We are here to help if you need support in your next steps to university or further study – advisers and academic staff available to help you. Please contact us via Live Chat on this website or on 01692 402 334..

There are a range of other options available to you if you have not received the grades that you needed to progress to your chosen next steps. We can help you decide which steps are right for you.

Resits

To register your interest in resitting a qualification, please email us at qualifications2020@ccn.ac.uk providing us with details of the qualification(s) you wish to resit. Please do this as soon as is possible as we will need to discuss this option with you and some deadlines for registration for resits are in early September.

Appeals and Complaints

The rules for appealing against the grades you have received are different this year. Visit the Ofqual website for all the latest guidance and in particular look at their student guide here which will answer many of your questions about the grading process. Please email qualifications2020@ccn.ac.uk if you think that an appeal is something you want to explore.

We are waiting for guidance from Ofqual on how the appeals process linked to mock examination grades will work. Again, if you wish to register a concern with us about this issue, email qualifications2020@ccn.ac.uk.

Please note that, if you have achieved progression to further study but you still want to appeal your grades, there may be a delay in responding to you: we will prioritise appeals for students who have not achieved the grades they need to progress. If you are emailing about appealing your grades, please state at the beginning of the email whether you have progressed to your next steps or not.
