Paston College: last few places still available

28th August 2020

As the new academic year starts, Paston College is getting ready to welcome students to our broad range of courses on offer at the North Walsham campus. There are a few spaces left on some courses so if you’re thinking about your future, now is the time to take that next step.

Three things you need to know about studying at Paston College:

  • We’ve got great facilities. From our 150 seat Griffon Theatre, home to the College’s own theatre company, to our state-of-the-art labs in the Scarburgh Science Centre, we’ve got the best environment for you to learn.
  • Our teaching staff deliver a brilliant student experience – you’ll be learning from lecturers with specialist expertise in their fields who are dedicated to teaching at this level. From health and social care to sports science we combine real-world knowledge with teaching excellence.
  • At Paston you can concentrate on what really inspires you to learn. Our technical and vocational courses give you the chance to study your favourite subject in-depth, from computing to creative and media. Lots of our Diploma students go on to university at the end of their courses, just like our A Level students.

Paston is the perfect combination of a well-equipped, vibrant and diverse college and a friendly and welcoming place to learn, close to home but with big opportunities. Find out more about what we have to offer across these subjects:

Art and Design

Our students go on to become architects, graphic designers, illustrators, fashion designers and photographers. The course is taught in recently refurbished studios with access to great resources and display opportunities.

Business

Our hands-on courses allow you to set up and run your very own mini enterprise, with support from our industry expert teaching staff. You will learn marketing and entrepreneurial skills, as well as improving your interpersonal communication and learning how to manage and budget.

Creative and Media

Students study a range of media forms with expert teaching staff who have a wealth of experience in organisations such as BBC Voices, Archant Media and ITV.

Computing

Work with specialist professionals to build your own computer network. Write software including  computer games and mobile apps. Develop the knowledge you need and practical coding and computing skills that employers want.

Early Years Education and Childcare

Our new T Level course builds the knowledge and skills you need to work with children and young people. Focus on child development, health and wellbeing, play and learning and literacy and numeracy. Develop your independence and gain practical experience needed to work in this growing sector.

Health and Social Care

Studying sociology, psychology, anatomy and physiology gives you the knowledge you need to work in this rewarding and expanding sector. Our experienced professional staff help you learn what you need for a career as a nurse, midwife, paramedic, social worker and many more health-related jobs.

Performing Arts

From our specialist drama teaching staff, to working on the stage of our new 150 seat Grifton Theatre, we equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Our courses give you the chance to perform as part of our Far East Theatre Company.

Sport and Exercise Science

Sports and exercise scientists use scientific knowledge on how the human body works, moves and how people think about physical activity to help them get better at what they do. This course gives you a thorough grounding in the sports and active leisure sector and the skills you’ll need to learn more and build a career.
